What is Jewish Vote Canada?
Founded in 2025, Jewish Vote Canada is a non-partisan, and not for profit organization. Our mission is to research all candidates running for a seat in Canada’s Parliament as individuals. We analyze their position on Jewish issues including antisemitism in Canada, the rise in antisemitic hate crimes, Israel’s war on Hamas, and condemnation of October 7th, 2023. On that basis we either endorse or oppose their candidacy.
The Leaders
-
Liberal: Mark Carney - Opposed
Mark Carney was elected the leader of the Liberal Party of Canada on March 9th, 2025. Since then he has not spoken a word in English regarding the Jewish Community in Canada or his position on Israel. What he has said in French has been deeply troubling. Additionally, he did not publicly condemn October 7th and has spread anti-Israel rhetoric on social media. For these reasons Jewish Vote Canada opposes his campaign to be Prime Minister of Canada.
-
Conservative - Pierre Poilievre - Endorsed
Pierre Poilievre has been a vocal ally of Canada’s Jewish community throughout his tenure as a Member of Parliament. Since October 7th, 2023 he has been unequivocal in his support for Israel and the Jewish community in Canada. For these reasons Jewish Vote Canada endorses his campaign to be Prime Minister of Canada.
“Canada’s Conservatives have not and will not waver. We won’t bow to the radical, woke, anti-Zionist Jew haters. Because “Never Again” is now, tomorrow and every day after. We unapologetically stand with Israel through fire and water. And unite with Jews to say, ‘Am Yisrael Chai!’” - Pierre Poilievre
-
NDP - Jagmeet Singh - Opposed
Jagmeet Singh, as the leader of the Federal NDP, has been instrumental in The NDP’s transition to an anti-Israel party. His member of parliament put forward the anti-Israel opposition motion 658, and his party unanimously supported it. Since October 7th, 2023 he and his party have spread anti-Israel rhetoric and failed to stand up for the Jewish Community in Canada. For these reasons Jewish Vote Canada opposes his campaign to be Prime Minister of Canada.
